Description

Tamakoshi -3 Hydroelectric project is located in Dolakha and Ramechhap districts of Janakpur Zone. With a gross head of 333 m and a design discharge of 222 m3/s, the proposed project will have an installed capacity of 650 MW. The headrace and tailrace tunnel including the pressure shaft will have a total length of 17.3 km. It will produce 2340 GWh at transformed bus.

The project was awarded to Statcraft (previously SN Power), Norway's largest and the Nordic region's third largest power producer on 2007 by GoN.
